History

We formed Satori Solutions in July 2000 by merging together two Denver-based companies, Applied Voice & Data Integration (AVDI) which specialized in unified messaging solutions and Tydeman Technology which implemented sales force automation solutions.


What “Satori” Means

In Zen Buddhism, Satori means “individual enlightenment in a flash of sudden awareness”. We achieved satori one night during a staff meeting to discuss the direction of the new company.  We decided that we would only recommend technology that was extremely reliable, easy to deploy, easy to use and that impacted organizations all the way from the front desk to the corner office.

About Applied Voice & Speech Technologies ( AVST)

AVST was established in September 2003 from the combined businesses of Sound Advantage (established in 1997) and the AVT division (established in 1982) of Captaris. Today, the company is the largest independent provider of enterprise communication applications with 22 years of voice messaging and call processing experience and 10 years of Unified Messaging experience. AVST is a privately-owned company and has more than 35,000 systems installed worldwide. The company is based in Foothills Ranch, California.
